HVC is the only Mauritian distributor able to offer wines from the Cederberg area of South Africa (a world heritage site ) and we are proud to do so. The secret behind ‘wines with altitude’ is a unique terroir and a pure, virus-free environment. David Nieuwoudt is the owner and fifth generation of the Nieuwoudt family to lead a ‘team with attitude’ to produce award-winning wines from high-altitude vineyards, the highest in Africa. David is also one of South Africa’s finest winemakers and as such is a member of the prestigious Cape Winemakers Guild which leads guides and inspires the rest of the South African winemaking industry to excel. His wines are highly regarded and highly rated. He has won world wine of the year and the six nations championships on many occasions and his wines are sought after globally. Cederberg are able to produce certain varietals that are unique and unavailable in the rest of the world and we look forward to sharing these beautiful wines with all our Mauritian and International friends.
